Click Commerce Presents Part Two of the Service Supply Chain Revolution Webinar Series: Integrating Reverse Logistics into Supply Chain Operations

CHICAGO --(Business Wire)-- March 6, 2006 -- Click Commerce, Inc., (Nasdaq:CKCM), a leading provider of on-demand supply chain management solutions, presents part two of the three-part series, "The Service Supply Chain Revolution: New Ways to Streamline Operations, Drive Profits, and Delight Customers." The event will be held on March 15 at 10 am EST and will feature Greg Aimi, research director for AMR Research, and Peter Racine, vice president of supply chain consulting for the Click Commerce Supply Chain Management group. Aimi and Racine will present how integrating reverse logistics can take time and costs out of supply chain operations.

Part of the year-long Webinar series featuring AMR Research "Winning in a Flat World, How to Compete in the Real-Time Global Marketplace," the service supply chain series will discuss how today's fragmented supply chains require an integrated approach to reverse logistics processes, where technology synchronizes order management, inventory control and supplier collaboration in real time across the extended enterprise.

According to a February 9, 2006 research article, "Service Can Be a Profit Maker: Case Studies From High Tech," by Mark Hillman of AMR Research, "before you embark on any program to tweak or revamp your service supply chain, you must understand the possibilities that enhanced service abilities can bring to the profit and revenue picture of the company. Many winners in the coming decade will use service as their primary distinguishing factor."

"AMR Research has also reported that reverse logistics account for more than 4.5 percent of total logistics costs, therefore inefficiency can substantially affect a company's bottom line," said Nancy Koenig, executive vice president of operations for Click Commerce. "Integrating reverse logistics processes into the service supply chain can effectively address these challenges and give companies a competitive advantage."

Part three of the service supply chain series will be held on May 16 at 10 am EDT. AMR Research Senior Analyst Mark Hillman and Racine will discuss how highly responsive service supply chains can increase customer service levels at lower operating costs and increase both revenue and profitability.

In addition to this series, the year-long Webinar program includes discussions on master data management (MDM), demand chain management, and supply chain management. Part two of the two-part MDM series, "Building a Foundation for the On-Demand Extended Enterprise," is April 12 at 10 am EDT. Bill Swanton, AMR Research vice president, and Johan Sauer, general manager for the Click Commerce Master Data Management group, will discuss the benefits of applying MDM capabilities to design and engineering processes in the form of Strategic Component Reuse.
