Clavister AB, a leading provider of IP-based security and Unified
Threat Management (UTM) solutions, today announced the new version of
Clavister CorePlus, its premium IP-based security operating system.
Clavister CorePlus - version 8.90 is an application-centric release
with three new Application Layer Gateways. It is also a further
commitment to the UTM solution offered today, with support for
anti-spam and anti-virus scanning for POP3 mail protocol. "We are
reaffirming our commitment to bring world-class application security to
the end users without introducing unnecessary complexity", said Andreas
sander, Vice President Product Management at Clavister.
The new Clavister CorePlus comes with a wide range of new features,
including extensive support for Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), the
de facto standard protocol for Voice over IP (VoIP). "This is a great
release with a number of important new features. We have worked hard to
bring the best implementation of SIP to the market, fulfilling the true
promise of secure VoIP", said John Vestberg, Vice President Technology
at Clavister.
Other new features covered in this new version are support for NAT IP
pools, the all-new Clavister Device Monitor and support for PCAP
recording. Another important feature is Multiple IP Rule Sets. Andreas
sander continues, "Multiple IP Rule Sets is a really important feature
for all our Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP). This feature
alone gives them the ability to simplify administration and more easily
manage multiple customers in a single Clavister Security Gateway".
Clavister CorePlus also supports the brand new anti-spam functionality,
added support for Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP), and also
extended Broadcom support and enhanced support for SNMPv2c. "The
anti-spam functionality adds an important tool for administrators in
fighting spam, malware and threats. It is possible to configure both
commercial and free DNS Blacklists, giving our customers the freedom of
choice", said Stefan "Billy" Bogstedt, Product Marketing Manager at
Clavister.
Availability Clavister CorePlus will be available in mid October for
download free of charge for customers with Clavister Software
