Circonus Joins Partner Joyent Cloud at 2012 Game Developers Conference and Local Technology Meetup of Industry Leaders

Circonus, the organization-wide performance monitoring company, today announced its participation with partner Joyent Cloud in two noteworthy events taking place next week in San Francisco.

At the prestigious 2012 Game Developers Conference, March 7 - 9 at the Moscone Convention Center, Circonus will join partner Joyent Cloud in its booth (409). There, conference visitors will be invited to learn how leading game companies and game infrastructure providers can leverage Circonus unified monitoring via the Joyent Cloud for high-performance gaming applications.

Continuing the monitoring and agility conversation, Circonus CTO Brian Clapper will present at a joint Meetup of the Joyent Cloud User Group and the SmartOS and illumos communities, to discuss the topic, "Monitoring Public and Private Cloud Infrastructures on SmartOS: Going Native."

A noted expert on monitoring technology, Clapper will discuss how Circonus built in its industry-first integrated monitoring support, what types of unique telemetry are supported in Circonus and instrumenting SmartOS. He also will provide a DevOps perspective on monitoring SmartOS based on experiences gleaned from his more than 10 years of experience with performance optimization and high-scalability application development and monitoring at Circonus and OmniTI (a boutique consultancy that helps some of the biggest web brands to speed up their sites and improve their architectures and application stacks). The Meetup will be held Wednesday, March 7 from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. at One Embarcadero Center, Suite 9000. Attendees are asked to please RSVP.
