China Nov 24 Pork Price Expected to Be Stable for Long Term

BEIJING, Nov 25, 2008 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --
Pork price inched down in China on November 24 over a day earlier.
Price of meat from the hip of a pig witnessed a gentle drop of 0.1% to CNY 21.48 a kilogram and streaky pork kept stable to CNY 19.8 a kilogram.

Prices of vegetables kept stable on November 24. Prices of Chinese cabbage and white radish fell 1.3% and 1.1%, prices of spinach, rape, lettuce, tomato, bean, cucumber, and green pepper inched up 0.5% to 1%, and prices of celery, eggplant, potato, and onion kept the same as the previous day.



On the same day, prices of finished products of grains, eggs, mutton, beef, aquatic products, fruits, and dairy kept stable basically.

Average drop in the price of Chinese cabbage in the nation has reached CNY 0.5 a kilogram since late September, and the retail price in Liaocheng, Shandong Province reached CNY 0.3 a kilogram, due to a harvest this year.
