China Mobile to set up call center in east China province
BEIJING, Feb 14, 2012 (Xinhua via COMTEX) --
The subsidiary of China Mobile
(CHL.NYSE; 00941.HK) in east China's Jiangsu province and the
government of Huai'an city, Jiangsu, signed on Tuesday a cooperation
agreement to build the Huai'an calling center.
The calling center will be invested exclusively by China
Mobile Communications Corp. (CMCC), parent of China Mobile, which
involves customer service, management, communication and public
service and other functions. With a total investment of four billion
yuan, the calling center is expected to finish construction in five
years, including 20,000 calling seats, and over 60,000 jobs will be
generated accordingly.
Establishment of the calling center will increase employment
opportunities, and promote the development of the telecommunications
industry in Huai'an, said Liu Yongzhong, the local party secretary.
Meanwhile, it is also a crucial step of China Mobile towards
the targets of centralized, standardized and informative development,
said Li Yue, president of CMCC. (Edited by Luo Jingjing,
