China-EU Galileo Plan Implement 11 Projects with Nearly EUR40mn(SinoCast Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)BEIJING, Apr 17, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) --In 2005, China had signed and implemented the first technical cooperation projects with Europe. On March 23, 2006, China Galileo Industries Ltd (CGI) on behalf of Chinese enterprises signed again four project contracts about participating in the development phase of Galileo with the National Remote Sensing Center of China (NRSCC). On March 20-25, 2006, NRSCC, Galileo Joint Undertaking (GJU) and European Space Agency (ESA) convened a series of meeting to check and accept the projects signed and implemented, and China convened the startup meeting of the newly signed projects with Europe. By far, there are 11 Cooperating projects of China-Europe Galileo Plan with the total amount of money nearly EUR 40 million, and China will start up other projects of space and ground construction with Europe as quickly as possible.
