China Digital TV Q2 EPS Miss By a Penny as Revenue Beats, Revenue Outlook Mixed

China Digital TV (STV) reports Q2 revenue of US$19.4 million, a 74.2% increase from the corresponding period in 2007 and topping the Thomson Financial mean analyst estimate for $18.8 million.
EPS were $0.18 vs $0.13 in the year-ago period and missing the Street view for $0.19.
China Digital TV expects its net revenue for the third quarter of 2008 to be in the range of US$15.5 million to US$16.5 million, representing year-over-year growth in the range of 8% to 15%. The Street looks for $21 million.
Based on updated mid-year projections, China Digital TV has narrowed its
expectation of full year 2008 net revenue to be in the range of US$80 million to US$83 million from the previous range of US$79 million to US$84 million, representing year-over-year growth in the range of 44% to 50%. The Street looks for $82 million.
