China to develop more agri.-oriented securities and futures products, CSRC

BEIJING, Feb 15, 2012 (Xinhua via COMTEX) -- China should develop more securities and futures products to meet demand from agriculture industry and farmers, said Guo Shuqing, chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) on Wednesday.


The domestic capital market's relationship with agriculture and food was not close enough, noted Guo at the founding ceremony of China Association for Public Companies.

To develop modern agriculture, the country should address issues of how to scientifically organize production, how to efficiently sell and distribute products, how to discover prices, how to evade risks and how to guarantee quality stability and safety of food, Guo noted.
