CenturyLink Business Communicator makes it easy for a business's employees to launch their UC tools from an identical user interface when working inside or outside the office. CenturyLink's VoIP solutions include UC features such as high-definition voice and video calling, conferencing, desktop sharing, instant messaging and presence.

"CenturyLink Business Communicator is a simple solution that can help employees connect and collaborate more easily, respond faster and work more effectively in teams," said Thuy Ha, director, product management, business solutions, CenturyLink. "If your outdated phone system is expensive to maintain and doesn't meet the mobility and collaboration needs of your business, it is probably time to look at all the functionality available with VoIP."

CenturyLink Business Communicator is the newest addition to CenturyLnk's complete voice portfolio offered on BroadSoft's BroadWorks® platform. BroadWorks enables CenturyLink to deliver supported as well as fully managed versions of Hosted VoIP, a cloud-based VoIP service, and SIP trunking, a VoIP service operated by on-premises equipment. CenturyLink also offers business customers across all market segments a full range of UC tools that leverage the BroadWorks platform.

"Today's increasingly mobile workforce relies on multiple devices—both in and out of the office— to communicate and collaborate with colleagues, customers and partners. With its enhanced offering, we believe CenturyLink can provide business users with access to voice, video, instant messaging, presence and other UC services from a single application, CenturyLink Business Communicator," said Mike Wilkinson, vice president, market offers, BroadSoft. "We are pleased to work with CenturyLink to meet the evolving needs of its business customers, whether they are small businesses, midsized firms or large enterprises."

CenturyLink's complete portfolio of VoIP solutions gives business and government customers the flexibility to combine Hosted VoIP and SIP trunking systems to best meet unique needs, such as supporting multi-site office environments.
