CareMedic Outlines Company's Progress, Future Direction at 2007 User Group Conference
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. --(Business Wire)-- CareMedic Systems, Inc., hosted its 7th annual User Group Conference October 7-10, 2007, in Orlando, Fla., and shared with healthcare financial leaders from across the country the company's direction toward offering blended service and technology solutions, the introduction of customer-focused support and delivery initiatives, and user success stories. The company also announced its new product advisory board members. During breakout sessions, attendees learned about planned enhancements to specific CareMedic solutions, and enjoyed face-to-face meetings with product management, providing feedback regarding features and capabilities they would like to see included in product roadmaps.
"This year's user conference was meant to reinforce how we continue evolving our solution offerings to help our customers gain control over the new revenue cycle pain points industry dynamics are creating," observed Sheila Schweitzer, CareMedic's chairperson and chief executive officer. "Our product portfolio has matured into an integrated suite of applications that addresses the full range of revenue cycle issues. In the past year, we've introduced new solutions to address efficiencies in collecting secondary claims, and receiving and posting paper EOB and electronic remittance advice. Beyond these solutions, CareMedic is focusing on emerging trends, such as increased self-pay dollars that are mandating that providers rethink how they conduct business, particularly in the areas of pre-registration and registration."
Schweitzer cited in her opening address a few of the company's progress milestones:
-- Introduction of SecondaryGold(TM), which combines the power of the company's flagship AccelerateAR(TM) MedicareRT(TM) direct entry and claims management solution with outsourced billing staff follow-up services to relieve hospitals from the tedium of working high volume, low dollar secondary claims.
-- Introduction of the revenue cycle performance dashboard to complement MedicareRT, Claims Management, SecondaryGold and the electronic Financial Record(TM) (eFR(TM)).
-- Introduction of OptimizeAR(TM) Consolidated Payment Management to address the unique challenges associated with converting paper-based payment data to electronic format and consolidating it with data received electronically.
"We have had a very successful year, and continue to grow in double digits annually. As we move forward, you can expect us to continue to introduce blended solutions and capabilities that will address bad debt and self-pay revenue," Schweitzer noted during her address. "Given the complexity of the issues at hand, we are opting to offer total solutions, not just products, to help you improve performance and to make you the heroes in your organization."
A full complement of CareMedic executive management, product experts and trainers were on hand to meet with customers during the three-day event, briefing attendees on upcoming software releases, improved support procedures and product development strategies. The event's Solutions Expo enabled one-on-one demonstrations of the company's products and services, and an evening at Disney-MGM Studios provided a welcome break from the meetings and presentations.
"The 2007 CareMedic User Group Conference was one of the most informative and strategic conferences I've attended in the last decade," said Michael G. Wilson, director of business services, DCH Health System. "I gained insight on ways to manage my accounts receivable from cradle to grave within an integrated and cost-effective environment. It provided me with a clear vision of how to proceed to best utilize current technology, and a view of what's to come. I highly recommend that all of my peers join me at the 2008 conference."
