Cabinet approval rises 3 points to 48%: Nikkei+

(Japan Economic Newswire Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)TOKYO, March 27_(Kyodo) _ The approval rating for the Cabinet of Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi rose three points from the previous survey in March to 48 percent, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported Monday.


The disapproval rating fell 3 points to 40 percent.

Among those who support the Cabinet, 40 percent said they admired the leadership of the prime minister, while 44 percent of those who do not support it said they cannot accept its policies.


The economic daily the telephone survey was conducted nationwide from Friday to Sunday and 846 households with eligible voters responded.
