Burglary reports from Akron police - Aug. 4

Here are the burglary reports released Aug. 4 by the Akron Police Department.

-- aEUR%500 block of Sumner Street, between Aug. 2 and Aug. 3, between 11 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. Entered through front first-floor window. Taken: 50-inch plasma TV.
-- aEUR%1300 block of Nanaula Circle, between July 31 and Aug. 3. Someone threw a rock through a basement window. Taken: women's clothing and shoes.
-- aEUR%1400 block of Breiding Road, on Aug. 2 about 8 a.m. A suspect forced his way into a garage. Taken: a lawnmower. The suspect was arrested.
-- aEUR%Devonshire Drive, between Aug. 1 and Aug. 2. Entered through locked door. Taken: Skyy 9mm, Colt .45 and a 32-inch flat-screen TV.
-- aEUR%400 block of Cole Avenue, between Aug. 1 and Aug. 2. Entered through locked first-floor door. Taken: copper pipes.
-- aEUR%800 block of Lawton Street, between July 30 and Aug. 2. Entered through a locked side door from garage. Nothing was taken.
-- aEUR%1000 block of Ellsworth Drive, between July 31 and Aug. 2. Entered through front door of a vacant house. Taken: copper pipes.
-- aEUR%1000 block of Clark Street, on Aug. 3 about 2 a.m. Suspects tried to remove an air-conditioning unit the living-room window. Nothing was taken.
-- aEUR%300 block of South Rhodes Avenue, between July 30 and Aug. 1. Entered by unknown means. Taken: unknown amount of cash from coin collection, laptop computer, DVD player and jewelry.
-- aEUR%100 block of Hollinger Avenue, between July 25 and July 27. Entered through locked, rear, first-floor door. Taken: four gold/diamond rings, three flat-screen TVs, a laptop computer, a desktop personal computer, printer, an xbox 360 with 13 games, a PS3 with three games and a Wii system with six games.
