BT Introduces One Source for TANDBERG

QUINCY, Mass., Jan 25, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- BT Conferencing today launched a fully-managed automated service for TANDBERG solutions called BT One Source for TANDBERG.

One Source combines TANDBERG's award-winning telepresence and video conferencing solutions with BT Conferencing's comprehensive management services to provide customers with an easy-to-use, reliable and cost-effective visual communication solution.

BT One Source for TANDBERG is a service portfolio that allows customers to tailor TANDBERG telepresence and video conferencing solutions to meet their specific business requirements. It includes planning, design and implementation services such as BT's One Care Preferred "white glove" services. Support levels can be tiered to provide producer assisted or automated call launching using BT's Engage suite of software tools (EndPoint Connect and Bridge Connect), which are available to fully automate a customer's telepresence and video conferencing experience.

To provide further flexibility, customer-owned bridging infrastructure can be located on their premises or housed in a BT co-location facility. BT's expertise in managing video conferencing for its customers, coupled with coverage provided by BT's extensive global IP network across 170 countries and 24x7x365 Helpdesk support, assists in ensuring high quality of conferencing services for customers worldwide.

TANDBERG solutions provide access for everyone through a comprehensive, standards-based portfolio of telepresence and high-definition video conferencing solutions that meet various application, space and budget requirements. This eliminates the boundaries of dissimilar networks, multi-vendor systems, inconsistent quality and functional complexity, so that colleagues, customers and partners can communicate with ease.

Wayne Stephens, VP of Partners and Alliances, TANDBERG EMEA, said: "The long-standing TANDBERG/BT partnership has delivered innovative telepresence and video conferencing solutions for our customers. Taking our partnership a step further, BT One Source for TANDBERG allows customers to integrate our award-winning telepresence into any environment complemented by industry-leading support and services to help ensure the best experience." Jeff Prestel, general manager of BT Conferencing's Video Business Unit, said: "With the explosive growth of the telepresence market, more and more customers are asking for a fully managed solution to help them maximise their telepresence investment. We're proud to offer customers BT One Source for TANDBERG, and provide this simple, reliable and cost effective telepresence experience." BT's One Source also includes Engage Tracker, a new tool that allows organisations to quantify the return on investment (ROI) of their visual communications program by tracking travel cost savings and carbon emission reductions resulting from reduced travel. Engage Tracker tallies savings on actual installed and utilized video systems, not on industry averages, estimates or models.
