Broadview's Rebecca Sommi to Be Honored with 2015 Women in Tech Award


Broadview Networks (News - Alert)®, a leading cloud-based provider of communications and information technology services, announced today that Rebecca Sommi, Senior Vice President of Operations Support and Engineering, has been selected to receive the 2015 Women in Tech Award. This award, presented by the Westchester County Association, recognizes outstanding women for their accomplishments in life sciences and technology, and will be presented on October 1, 2015 at the annual Women in Tech Awards Luncheon, held at Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown, N.Y.

"The Women in Tech luncheon provides a forum for women to share their stories and for us to shine a light on their successes," noted Marissa Brett, President of the Westchester County Association. "Westchester is a leader in technology and the life sciences, and we are proud to recognize these trailblazing women whose work improves our daily lives."

Ms. Sommi, who joined Broadview in 1999, has more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications technology. She is responsible for such critical areas as vendor management, network planning, logistics and regulatory support. Prior to joining Broadview, she served as the Director of External Affairs for the Eastern TeleLogic Corporation, where she participated in the first application for a competitive local exchange (CLEC) license in Pennsylvania after deregulation.
