BRIEF: Urbanski faces federal indictment

Jan 27, 2012 (Superior Telegram - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A federal indictment was filed against a Superior man Wednesday for possession of child pornography.

Timothy D. Urbanski, 48, is accused of possessing a DVD disc containing pictures of child pornography that had been shipped in interstate and foreign commerce. No court date had been set as of Thursday, according to the U.S. District Court in Madison.

Urbanski is also facing 10 felony counts of possession of child pornography in Douglas County Circuit Court. According to the criminal complaint, when Superior police conducted a search of Urbanski's residence in July, they found printed child pornography images. Suspected child pornography was also found on the Superior man's cell phone and computers at his residence.

Urbanski told officers that he had been downloading child pornography from the internet, then printing it and shredding it in an attempt to rid the internet of child pornography.

A motion hearing is set for March in the Douglas County case.
