BRIEF: UPDATE: Stillwater police release surveillance video in Holiday Inn TV theft case

Mar 07, 2012 (Stillwater NewsPress - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- STILLWATER, Okla. -- Stillwater police have released surveillance video of thefts of televisions at a Stillwater hotel.

Police are investigating three reports of TVs stolen from Holiday Inn, 715 S. Country Club Road, on Nov. 18, Nov. 21 and Feb. 23, according to a release.

On Nov. 18, a man distracted an employee while another man stole a Sony Bravia TV from behind the bar at the hotel, police said. On Nov. 21, an employee called police when he saw suspicious men outside the hotel. They left before police arrived, and it was later discovered four Sony Bravia TVs were stolen from unoccupied rooms, police said.

Police would not release details of the November thefts at the time, saying they were open investigations.

On Feb. 23, video surveillance captured three men stealing five TVs from behind the bar and other areas in the dining area. One of the men seen in the video looks like a man captured on video in the Nov. 21 video, police say.
