BRIEF: Tech Tuesday: Valentine's Day
Feb 14, 2012 (WXMI-TV - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
This week, we challenged Jeff Haywood from Mlive to find some interesting apps for Valentine's Day. Here's a quick look at what he found.
Skout for iPhone and Android might be considered the newest high-tech way to flirt. It uses the GPS on your smart phone to find other singles using the Skout app nearby. Can instant message, find a place to meet, learn about their bio, trade pictures, ect. It looks like a lot of a fun.
Once you meet, you might want to know if the person you're interested in has a history. That's where Cheaterville.com comes in. You can search for their background by name, check the map, or even post something about the person who broke your heart.
Finally, you've after you've met the person you want to date, why not let a program like Urbanspoon help you pick the restaurant you go to. Search by style, location, and price. Or hit the randomizer button and let Urbanspoon pick a place for you to try. This app really comes in handy on the road, or in a strange town, where you have no idea what available. It's and oldie, but a goodie.
