BRIEF: Stockton Internet cafe may have been front for gambling ring
STOCKTON, Jun 26, 2009 (The Record - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Agents raided an internet cafe connected to the Dej... Vu topless bar this week, confiscating cash and computers on suspicion that the business ran Las Vegas-style gambling, the state Attorney General's Office announced today.
The West Lane business called Lucky Dej... Vu Internet Cafe was a cover for illegal video poker, keno and slots, the news release said. Agents confiscated 98 computers, two computer servers, money machines, $4,000 in cash and business records.
Nobody was immediately available for comment at the strip club contacted by phone Friday afternoon. The strip club and internet cafe are next door to each other. The news release reports no arrests.
