BRIEF: Regulator probes door fires in 2006, 2007 TrailBlazers
Feb 14, 2012 (The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Federal safety regulators are investigating fires in the driver's side doors of Chevy TrailBlazers, the second such probe in a week. The latest inquiry involves more than 309,000 TrailBlazer SUVs from the 2006 and 2007 model years. The fires began in the power window switch or related electrical parts, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Monday. The agency began investigating the TrailBlazer on Thursday, just three days after it opened a probe into similar problems with the 2007 Toyota Camry sedan and RAV4 SUV. None of the vehicles has been recalled.
