BRIEF: Police seek tips on convenience store robbery
PORTLAND, Feb 14, 2012 (Portland Press Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
A man with a knife robbed a Washington Avenue convenience store early this morning.
The man had a knife in his hand when he threatened the clerk and demanded money at the Big Apple around 3:20 a.m., according to police. He fled on foot with a small amount of cash, Lt. Gary Rogers said.
No one was hurt during the robbery.
The robber is described as a black male in his mid-30s, who is between 5-foot-2-inches and 5-foot-6-inches tall and weighs between 150 and 170 pounds.
Police are asking people with information about the crime to call 874-8533.
