BRIEF: Police seek man who robbed Dollar General in Garner
GARNER, Feb 15, 2012 (The News & Observer - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Police are looking for a man that robbed a Dollar General at 7955 Fayetteville Road in Garner with a knife today.
Just before 5 p.m., a man approached the cashier, branded a knife and demanded cash, according to a Garner Police Department news release. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect has been described as a black male, standing between 6-foot and 6-foot-2-inches tall and weighing 180-200 pounds. He has a medium complexion, witnesses said, and was wearing a gray knit cap, blue jacket, carpenter style blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
No one was injured in the robbery. Police are asking that anyone with information about the case call the department at 919-772-8810.
