BRIEF: Police release surveillance photos of suspects in Henderson jewelry store robbery

Feb 14, 2012 (Las Vegas Sun - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Henderson Police on Tuesday said the search continued for three masked suspects who robbed a jewelry store Sunday evening in the Galleria at Sunset.

The armed robbery occurred at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, 15 minutes before the mall closed, at a Ben Bridge Jeweler store, police said.

The suspects entered the store, and one armed with a gun ordered employees to stand against a wall, police spokesman Keith Paul said.

The other two suspects, using hammers, smashed glass cases containing jewelry and swiped merchandise before all three fled the mall, Paul said.

No one was injured and no shots were fired during the robbery, Paul said.

Police said the suspects were wearing masks and gloves, so their gender was unclear.

The incident was the first "smash-and-grab" robbery in Henderson in recent years, Paul said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Henderson Police at (702) 267-4750 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
