Jun 24, 2009 (Dothan Eagle - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Dothan experienced a widespread disruption of phone service Wednesday morning and technicians are still trying to find the cause of the problem.

According to CenturyTel spokesperson Jennifer Doherty, the problems began about 7:15 a.m. and lasted until after noon. Doherty said technicians were able to re-route traffic and are still looking for the cause of Tuesday's problem.

The Dothan / Houston County area experienced significant telephone disruptions, causing an interruption of service at the Houston County Courthouse, Administration Building, Sheriff's Office and 911 call center.
