BRIEF: Newton YMCA to again host fun Turkey Day Workout on Nov. 26

Nov 06, 2009 (Newton Daily News - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- The Newton YMCA will once again be hosting the second annual Turkey Day Workout on Thanksgiving Day.

The gym itself will be closed but interested fitness-goers can burn the calories before you eat them at this morning workout.

The workout will take place from 6 to 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The early registration (by Nov. 12) cost is $20 for members and $30 for non-members. The price does go up to $30 and $40 if registered after Nov. 12 and to $50 if registered on the day of the event. The fees include a workout T-shirt.



The group will meet in the YMCA lowing parking lot and begin the workout with a 3K or 5K fun run and then move inside for strength training and kick boxing.

The workout is open to anyone in sixth grade or older, but children not yet in ninth grade must be accompanied by an adult.
