BRIEF: New iPhone hits shelves today in Oklahoma City

Jun 19, 2009 (The Oklahoman - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- iPhone lovers can get their hands on a new Apple iPhone today at Penn Square Mall.

The iPhone 3G S -- starting at $199 -- becomes available today at the Apple and AT&T stores. The phone also will be available for sale at other AT&T stores.

Mall doors near B.C. Clark Jewelers, Mr. Ooley's and in the lower level parking garage will open for shoppers at 5 a.m.



Retailers are extending their hours. The AT&T store, on the lower level near J.C. Penney Co. Inc., opens at 7 a.m. for preorders until 10 a.m., when the store will allow new purchases. The Apple store, in the west wing on the lower level, opens at 8 a.m. for both preorders and new purchases.
