BRIEF: InnerWorkings closes out record year

Chicago-based InnerWorkings Inc., a print management company, said Tuesday it had record revenue in 2011.
The company, co-founded by Groupon co-founder Eric Lefkofsky, earned $16.4 million, or 34 cents per share, last year on record revenue of $633.8 million. Profits increased 46.2 percent, and revenue increased 31.4 percent over 2010.
In the fourth quarter, the company had record revenue of $175.2 million, up 34.4 percent. Fourth-quarter profit was $5.8 million, up 63.1 percent.
"Moving into 2012, we are focused on winning global print management contracts and gaining share in the underserved middle market," Eric D. Belcher, chief executive officer of InnerWorkings, said in a statement.
Reaching milestones on several financial measures serves to "demonstrate our growth and profitability momentum," Joseph M. Busky, chief financial officer, said in a statement.
InnerWorking's earnings were released after financial markets closed. Shares of InnerWorkings finished down about 2 percent Tuesday, at $11.78 on the Nasdaq.
