BRIEF: Girls lose to Seymour, beat Windthorst

Dec 23, 2009 (The Olney Enterprise - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Olney's varsity girls rebounded from an overtime loss to Seymour last week with a hard-fought win over Windthorst.

Olney 30, Seymour 33 The Lady Cubs traveled to Seymour Tuesday, Dec. 15, and played hard only to come away with a heartbreaking loss to the Lady Panthers.

Seymour led 6-4 after the first period, but Olney battled back to lead 14-13 at the half.



In the third period the lady Cubs outscored Seymour to lead 23-18, but in the final frame the Lady Panthers made up ground. Seymour posted 11 points while holding Olney to only six to tie the score at 29-29.
