BRIEF: Get ready for a windy day

Get ready for some wind and lots of it.
The National Weather Service Office in Brownsville has issued a wind advisory for the majority of the Rio Grande Valley today, including all of Cameron County. Willacy County and most of Hidalgo County are also included in the advisory.
The advisory be in effect from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.
The NWS reports a storm system in the plains will interact with an area of high pressure in the Gulf of Mexico and the Southeast United States to produce "a day of strong southeast to south winds across Deep South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley."
The winds are expected to develop from mid-morning to mid-afternoon.
The NWS reports wind advisories are issued when sustained winds of 30 to 39mph or gusts of up to 57 mph are in the forecast.
