BRIEF: Fayetteville police seek bank robbery suspect

Feb 14, 2012 (The Fayetteville Observer - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Fayetteville police are looking for a man who robbed a First Citizens Bank branch this afternoon.

Police said the crime was reported at 3:38 p.m. from the branch at 130 Grove St. The robber entered the bank, handed a note to a teller and then ran from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, police said. It's not clear whether he displayed a weapon.


The suspect is described as man about 6 feet tall last seen wearing black jeans, a gray bomber-style jacket and an orange or red toboggan on his head. He may have gotten into a light blue sedan after running from the bank.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Police Department at 433-1856 or CrimeStoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
