BRIEF: Canyon County Commissioner Ferdinand to serve on NACo steering committee

Canyon County Commissioner David Ferdinand has been named to serve on the National Association of Counties Telecommunications and Technology Steering Committee for 2010-11. The appointment was made recently at the association's annual conference and exposition in Reno, Nev.
The Telecommunications and Technology Steering Committee is responsible for NACo policy development on all matters pertaining to telecommunications and technology policy, including the county role as a telecommunications regulator, service provider and consumer; cable services technology and implementation; information technology development and implementation; information technology innovation; e-governance; and Geospatial data collection and utilization.
NACo is the only national organization that represents county governments in the United States.
