Brazil is Latin America's biggest victim of hackers attacks

(Investnews (Brazil) - English Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) SO PAULO - Brazil is Latin Americas biggest victim of bot attacks (hackers with bot codes break into vulnerable computers, turn them into zombies and launch an assault against their systems). The country accounts for 49% of all bot attacks in the region, followed by Argentina (17%) and Chile (10%).



This is the result of an increase in broadband access, as it leads to a higher information flow and to users spending more time online, said Douglas Wallace, Symantecs Systems Engineering Director for Latin America and the Caribbean.
