Branding service for business leaders [Newcastle Journal (England)]

(Newcastle Journal (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) THREE North East-based entrepreneurs have collaborated to launch a bespoke personal branding plan aimed exclusively at business leaders.

IOD's North East Director of the Year Alastair Waite; businessman, speaker and author Peter Wilcock; and managing director of Harvey & Hugo, Charlotte Nichols, have joined forces to create PRsonal.

The scheme aims to encourage business leaders to discover the power of the online world by building their personal online brand, which will benefit their businesses too. Nichols, whose PR and marketing agency is based in Darlington, said: "Many high-flying business leaders who are experts within the industry are not using the online world, particularly social media, to their advantage. They want to replicate their offline profile online to expand their network, but they're unsure how to do it.

"PRsonal will introduce them to 'personal' branding strategies, which will help attract attention from both investors and customers to drive both them and their business into the 21st century." The service is being launched by a masterclass introduced by Waite, who holds a portfolio of over 20 businesses.

"I recognise the impact a strong personal brand can have on a business, and I'm dedicated to helping other business leaders tackle their social media woes," he said.

"PRsonal is going to help people boost their profile by using platforms such as LinkedIn, which will help them transfer their credible reputations to the online world." Wilcock, meanwhile, will be sharing his own experiences with social media.

He said: "In today's digital world, having the right online profile is priceless.

"However, knowing how to exploit the potential is a minefield, which is why we came up with PRsonal." Nichols will also conduct an introductory LinkedIn masterclass and more will follow in the future.
