Bloggers Top 50mn in China

SHENZHEN, Jan 07, 2009 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --
By the end of November 2008, China saw 100 million webblogs and 50 million bloggers, according to Gao Lulin, vice director at the China Internet Association. The number of bloggers was 47 million by the end of 2007.

At the moment, China has grown into the biggest Internet market in the world with more than 290 million Internet users and 2.1 million websites.

Mr. Gao says that Chinese Internet users have played a very important role in democratization, construction of the legal system, and establishment of new cyber culture.

They have created a huge profitable valuable Internet market amid the web 2.0 trend with their unique network language.

Especially, Chinese young generations are getting increasingly fond of the webblogging as they need a space to write their personal trivia and express their personal opinions.
