Blabbelon launches iPhone voice chat app
Aug 27, 2010 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) --
Blabbelon, a provider of web-based VoIP services and games, yesterday
announced the launch of its new iPhone app which it said will allow
iPhone users to quickly and easily create a voice chat room for friends
and family to chat without running up a high phone bill.
The company said that the app works on both Wi-Fi and 3G connections
and can connect users of both the iPhone app and the browser based
Blabbelon service, allowing users to communicate between their mobile
phone and their web-based friends via push-to-talk. The app makes use
of SILK, a super wideband, low footprint audio codec from Skype.
The app contains a contact list, similar to many other instant
messaging platforms, allowing users to connect to individual or
multiple contacts and facilitating group communication. It is a
low-footprint application that requires very little of the iPhone's
bandwidth, allowing users to run the application for extended periods
without affecting the phone's performance, according to the company.
The free Blabbelon iPhone app can be downloaded from the iPhone App
Store via iTunes or from
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/blabbelon/id366665478?mt=8.
