The court announced Maksim Bakiyev, ex-Director of the Central Agency for Development, Investments and Innovations, Mikhail Nadel, ex-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asia Universal Bank, Eugen Gourevich, ex-Director of MGN Group, guilty of embezzlement of 20 billion som. Maksim Bakiyev was handed down life sentence and confiscation of property. Eugen Gourevich and Mikhail Nadel were sentenced to 25 years in prison and confiscation of property. The court also ordered to collect 3 billion som from the defendants in favor of the Kyrgyz Republic. All three were sentenced in absentia, since they are outside Kyrgyzstan.
