Bert Ogden Shifts Into High Gear With AT&T Network Services Upgrade
EDINBURG, Texas, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AT&T Inc. has announced that Bert Ogden, one of the leading auto dealership groups in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, has signed a three-year contract for AT&T to provide network and voice services. Under the terms of the agreement, AT&T will upgrade Bert Ogden's frame relay services to Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-based Virtual Private Network (VPN) services.
Bert Ogden, which is currently expanding, will benefit from the highly secure and scalable Internet Protocol (IP)-based infrastructure of AT&T's MPLS network. The solution allows for seamless integration of new locations, which will be important when Bert Ogden brings the new Fiesta Chevrolet location online. Currently under construction on 17 acres at the corner of Trenton Road and Expressway 281 in Edinburg, the new 32,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to open before Labor Day.

AT&T's networking solution, which has achieved the industry's highest levels of reliability and redundancy, will enhance the ability to shop from anywhere at anytime.

AT&T's fully managed network will allow Bert Ogden to prioritize mission-critical data traffic between locations, which in turn will provide customers with faster and more efficient service.
In addition to the VPN solution, AT&T will also provide Managed Internet Service (MIS), as well as local and long distance voice services. AT&T MIS supports constant, real-time access to the Internet across the network.
