Elaine will have global responsibility for engineering across all of the company's business areas, and will play a key role implementing the business's solutions-led agenda and ensuring that its products and services are underpinned by the highest quality engineering.



Elaine Baker brings a range of engineering experience from financial services and the public sector, having held senior roles at Capita, Barclays, CSC and Xansa. She has also acted as a non-executive advisor to the Land Registry and has significant expertise in product development, systems integration, service integration, change management and management of global engineering functions, including offshore operations.

Elaine's remit is to develop engineering capabilities across BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, including all its business units and its delivery centres around the world. This will involve implementing an improvement programme built around investment in people, process, methods and tools.


Elaine will also work closely with key strategy and product teams and will help to develop and implement the business's product maturity and packaging strategy.
