B Lab Partners with Hubba To Highlight Certified B Corporations with Buyers


B Lab, a global non-profit organization that certifies for-profit companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency ('B Corporations') has partnered with Hubba, the largest B2B commerce network helping SMBs in the retail space, to expand their business.

There are over a hundred and fifty B Corporation brands that will receive distinct badge on Hubba already. The partnership will award B Corp brands differentiated and enhanced visibility with thousands of buyers that turn to Hubba each week searching for new products to carry in their stores, ecommerce sites and subscription boxes. Brands not currently certified by B Lab looking for acknowledgement of the initiatives they have incorporated into their business will be invited to submit application to become B Corporations.

"In an effort to attract the new generation of consumers, we areseeing a 25-30 per cent increase in retailers searching for socially conscious brands to include in their inventory," says Ben Zifkin, CEO founder of Hubba. Recent reports have shown that +45% of consumers are swayed to purchase products from companies with a commitment to the environment, and 43% of consumers value a brand's commitment to society. Social activism is on the rise and more brands are aligning themselves with philanthropic causes, sustainable initiatives and social movements, this partnership provides unique opportunity for retailers to align with those companies that share their values.
