Awareness Technologies a Deloitte Fast 500 company for 2008
LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)--
Awareness Technologies, Inc. today announces it was named as a 2008 Deloitte Technology Fast 500, which recognizes the 500 fastest-growing technology and life sciences companies in North America. To determine the fastest growing companies, Deloitte calculates revenue growth percentage over five years (2003-2007), making this a significant achievement for Awareness Technologies, a six year-old security software company based in Los Angeles, CA. Awareness Technologies grew by 366% over those five years.
"We're pleased with the recognition by Deloitte, since it is built wholly on our success delivering to our customers the best and most innovative security software in the industry," says Peter Fuhrman, Awareness Technologies' Chief Financial Officer. "We're very focused on our customers' success and protecting the integrity of their data, and for that reason, have remained a private company 100%-owned and run by its management. We've said No to venture capital to stay focused on our customers and technology. We prove it's possible to do this and grow quickly."
Awareness Technologies has developed and sells three core products, all based on its patented "Single Agent" technology: (1) InterGuard, an integrated suite of data loss prevention, web filtering and employee monitoring software for businesses. (2) WebWatcher, the market-leader in parental monitoring software. (3) Laptop Cop, an innovative best-of-breed solution to reduce the impact of laptop theft, with real-time geo-location, and remote retrieval and deletion.
"Being named this year to Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 is particularly exciting because the best really is yet to come," says Fuhrman. "We're now growing even faster, with sales up by 40% this year alone." Awareness Technologies' InterGuard is the only integrated SaaS-based solution that protects company confidential data and laptops on or off a corporate network. This matters, crucially, for companies with increasingly mobile workforces. "Our customers rely on InterGuard to out-compete their rivals and to comply with regulations," Fuhrman declares.
"Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 recognizes companies who have achieved extraordinary growth in North America's most innovative and competitive market sectors," said Phil Asmundson, Deloitte LLP vice chairman and national managing partner for Technology, Media and Telecommunications. "We congratulate Awareness Technology on this significant accomplishment."
Fast 500 Selection and Qualifying Criteria
The Fast 500 ranks the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in North America.
