AVST Bolsters Unified Communications Portfolio With CX-C Cloud Platform
FOOTHILL RANCH, CA, Mar 21, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST) unveils AVST CX-C
(CX-C), a cloud-based Unified Communications (UC) platform. The
introduction of CX-C bolsters AVST's portfolio of UC solutions that
includes premise-based, private and public cloud offerings. Based on
a subscription fee licensing model, CX-C is a platform designed to
support the requirements of UC service providers, wireless carriers
and network operators.
The AVST CX-C platform was designed and engineered to address the
growing demand for Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS).
According to industry analyst firm Gartner, businesses of up to 3,000
employees are now deploying UCaaS, with expansion to larger accounts
expected in 2012 as offerings from larger UCaaS suppliers mature.(1)
AVST brings three decades of experience and leadership in the UC
marketplace and understands the requirements for the public cloud.
"Unlike many other enterprise UC solutions being re-engineered to fit
the cloud, CX-C was specifically designed to be cloud-ready from the
start," said Tom Minifie, AVST's Chief Technology Officer. "CX-C is a
highly scalable and interoperable cloud platform delivering rich UC
features coupled with resiliency and administrative control."
CX-C features include:
-- Unified messaging
-- Single number reach
-- Call processing
-- Highly scalable with up to one million subscribers supported
-- Multi-tenant support
-- Resilient platform delivering high availability and disaster recovery
-- Complete administrative control and security
-- Extensive interoperability with direct telephony SIP integrations and
SIP media gateways
NEC Corporation of America (NEC), a leader in the integration of IT and
network technologies, is the first company to leverage CX-C,
