AT&T Expands Access to Gigabit Speeds to more Businesses in 20 Alabama Communities


BIRMINGHAM, Ala., July 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T1 is expanding access to gigabit internet speeds for businesses through increased deployment of AT&T Business Fiber. More business customers in Alabama can now enjoy download and upload speeds up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps).2 AT&T Business Fiber is a blazing-fast Internet service available in AT&T Fiber Ready buildings.

AT&T invested nearly $1.2 billion in our Alabama wireless and wireline networks from 2013 through 2015.

Expansion

AT&T has aggressively expanded its fiber footprint over the past few years, both to consumers and businesses.  We have expanded coverage to reach over 1 million incremental business customer locations in the US, with over 17,000 of those in Alabama. We currently have more than 200 multi-tenant office buildings that are live with AT&T Business Fiber in Alabama.  And, we will continue to build out to keep pace with growing demand.
