The animated tale "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" will have its world premiere at the Egyptian Theatre along Hollywood Boulevard on Aug. 10, five days before it opens in theaters. Lucasfilm announced the premiere Wednesday.
Memoir says Madonna's true love is herselfNEW YORK (AP) _ A memoir by Madonna's brother says the singer really does love her husband, director Guy Ritchie, but, apparently, not as much as she loves her career and herself. "I hope that it is Kabbalah's lesson that she is not the center of the universe," Christopher Ciccone writes in "Life With My Sister Madonna," scheduled to come out next Tuesday but purchased in advance by The Associated Press.
Hospital: `Impossible' to see inside Jolie's roomPARIS (AP) _ The hospital where Angelina Jolie will give birth says it has covered the windows of her room with a special material to prevent paparazzi from taking pictures of the actress and her partner, Brad Pitt. The Lenval hospital in Nice in southern France said Wednesday that photos that claim to show Jolie and Pitt in her room are fakes that have been manipulated or show other patients.

Spears and fiance Casey Aldridge welcomed Maddie at a hospital in McComb, Miss., on June 19. The younger sister of Britney Spears poses with her on the cover of OK! magazine _ as expected, given the fact that Spears announced her pregnancy through an article in OK! and reportedly was to receive a large payday for exclusive pictures of the baby.

Report: CBS News' Logan talks about her baby dramaNEW YORK (AP) _ Lara Logan, the chief foreign affairs correspondent for CBS News, tells The Washington Post she is pregnant, and the father is a married federal contractor whom she met while stationed in Iraq. Spike Lee set to film Stew's 'Passing Strange'NEW YORK (AP) _ Spike Lee will film "Passing Strange," Stew's rock musical journey of self-discovery, during performances next week at Broadway's Belasco Theatre, it was announced Wednesday. The movie, budgeted at about $2 million, will be shot July 19 at both the matinee and evening performances, Steve Klein, the film's producer, said Wednesday at a news conference. The stage production will also be filmed at two other times in the theater without audiences present.
Actors union ratifies deal with Hollywood studiosLOS ANGELES (AP) _ The labor drama gripping Hollywood is now entering its final act after one actors group said its members ratified a new deal and the other prepared to turn down the major studios' final offer. The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists said Tuesday that its members had ratified a three-year prime-time TV contract with studios with 62 percent of voting members supporting it, after fierce opposition from the larger Screen Actors Guild.
A husband explores 'Life in a Marital Institution'NEW YORK (AP) _ James Braly's one-man show, "Life in a Marital Institution," seems on the surface to be about his marriage and his wife, Susan _ although it's really all about him. Braly seems to know that, though, which makes his storytelling about the "tantric conflict" between him and Susan even funnier, as he often laughs along with the audience. For instance, when Braly claims that his wife is still breast-feeding their two sons, ages 4 and 6, his main concern is that, with the boys also sharing their parents' bed, there "aren't enough breasts to go around."
Nielsen: TV viewing up overall, but not last weekNEW YORK (AP) _ You wouldn't necessarily know it from last week, but Nielsen Media Research says TV viewership is on the rise. The company said Tuesday that the average American watched 127 1/4 hours of television in May, or the equivalent of more than five full days. That's up from 121 hours and 48 minutes in May 2007.
