Anoush Banquet Halls & Catering and Students Run LA collaborate to provide a beautiful luncheon feast for 3,500 students and volunteers, to celebrate their participation in this year's LA Marathon. Anoush is bringing their signature cuisine from the best banquet halls in Glendale CA (News - Alert) and Los Angeles to customize a menu of performance optimized meals. Everything is tailored to the level of exertion a marathon requires, in order to help the young athletes recover post run. The lunch menu, featuring delicious homemade fruit and cookie bars and nutrient dense carbohydrate dishes, such as Penne with Basil Pesto, will be served at Santa Monica High school immediately after the race.

Student Run LA


Students Run LA (SRLA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, provides a free after-school mentoring and physical fitness program for at-risk middle and high school students across greater Los Angeles. The program prepares them to complete the Los Angeles Marathon each year. While running is the core activity of the program, SRLA students learn how to set and achieve goals, gain confidence, and develop life-long healthy habits. More than 95% of SRLA runners finish the Los Angeles Marathon every year. • SRLA turns runners into graduates: 99% of SRLA seniors graduated from high school in the Class of 2015. Of the SRLA seniors who graduated in 2015, 95% plan to go to college. SRLA takes place at 174 middle and high schools community programs throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area, including: East Los Angeles, Downtown, Hollywood, San Fernando Valley, South Los Angeles, West Los Angeles, and South Bay.
