Analysis Group Names Michael Beauregard, Specialist in Economic and Financial Analyses, Managing Principal


LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)--

Analysis Group, a leading provider of economic, financial, and business expertise to law firms, corporations, and government agencies, is pleased to announce the promotion of Michael Beauregard to Managing Principal.

Mr. Beauregard specializes in the application of economic, financial, statistical, and econometric analyses to complex litigations. He has consulted on a variety of civil and criminal antitrust, securities, and intellectual property matters and has assisted counsel facing investigations by various U.S. and international government agencies including the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. His antitrust experience includes cases involving allegations of price fixing, predatory pricing, price discrimination, concerted refusals to deal, and attempted monopolization.

Mr. Beauregard's securities experience includes cases involving allegations of securities fraud and breach of fiduciary duty, the evaluation of mutual fund fees (ยง36(b) of the Investment Company Act), nd ERISA-related matters including evaluations of 401(k) plan fees, securities lending, and investment suitability. Some of his more prominent cases include In re American Funds Fee Litigation and United States of America v. Frederick S. Schiff.



Mr. Beauregard also has experience in the calculation of damages in cases involving allegations of horizontal price-fixing, attempted monopolization, patent infringement, business interruption, and tortious interference. Cases that have included damages calculations include L-3 Communications Integrated Systems v. Lockheed Martin Corporation, Applied Medical Resources Corp. v. United States Surgical Corporation, and Stanford v. Roche Molecular Systems.

Mr. Beauregard has performed research that counsel has used at all stages of litigation from case evaluation to providing expert analysis, report preparation, deposition, pre-trial, and trial support. In addition, he has extensive experience constructing, managing, and analyzing large proprietary datasets.


Prior to joining Analysis Group, Mr. Beauregard worked at LECG Corporation and Economic Analysis LLC. He received his M.A. in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a B.A. in economics from the University of California, San Diego.
