Amplero Prepares for Artificial Intelligence Marketing (AIM) Boom with New CTO Appointment

SEATTLE, March 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Amplero, a recognized leader in leveraging artificial intelligence marketing to maximize customer lifetime value and loyalty, today announced the appointment of Andrew Toner as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Toner brings expertise in building high-growth, high-volume software organizations to his role at Amplero, where he will head the company's team of software developers and drive engineering operations and strategy.

The addition of Toner comes at a pivotal time for Amplero, as the company plans substantial expansion of its Amplero Artificial Intelligence Marketing Platform. As marketers in gaming, banking, telecom, and other "customer-obsessed" industries seek to deliver highly contextualized customer experiences and improve loyalty, artificial intelligence is leading the next wave of marketing technology solutions. Amplero will lean on Toner for decisions on infrastructure investments to drive the next phase of growth for the platform.

"Seattle is a hotbed for data-centric and AI technology advancements, and Amplero is no exception. They are at the forefront of the emerging artificial intelligence industry, and the work they are doing with machin learning and multi-arm bandit experimentation is completely transforming the way brands engage with their customers," said Toner. "I am excited to join such an innovative group that is paving the way for this new category of marketing."

Prior to his role at Amplero, Toner led teams that built and operated global software solutions. Most recently, he served as principal engineering manager at Microsoft, where he built a team that transformed the way Microsoft deploys its cloud infrastructure. He previously led multiple engineering teams at Amazon.com and AWS, where he was responsible for the vision, direction, and architecture of software development teams, product managers, and technical managers in the U.S. and abroad. Toner has also held a software architecture role at Seattle Sounders FC and was a mentor at 9Mile Labs, a high-tech accelerator focused on enterprise and B2B software and cloud technologies.

"Andrew's experience scaling software infrastructure for global technology organizations adds tremendous value to our company as we prepare for significant growth this year," said Olly Downs, PhD, CEO of Amplero. "Along with his superb technical strengths, his style is the perfect mix of pragmatism, partnership, and passion. We are extremely fortunate to have Andrew on our team as we develop our technical execution to the next level of maturity."
