Amp'd Mobile and MTV2 Present the First Full Live Concert Direct to Mobile Subscribers in the U.S. Fall Out Boy's 'Black Clouds And Underdogs' Show on March 19th
LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)-- March 15, 2006 -- MTV2's "Fall Out Boy On Tour" Special to Air Saturday March 18th at 8:30 PM; The All-American Rejects, Hawthorne Heights Also to Be MobileCast
Amp'd Mobile, the first fully integrated mobile entertainment company, and MTV2 sponsor Fall Out Boy's (Island Records) 'Black Clouds And Underdogs' tour with special guests The All-American Rejects, Hawthorne Heights, From First to Last, The Hush Sound and October Fall. The 48-city national arena tour kicks off on March 15th at the Pepsi Arena in Albany, New York and ends May 15th in Fall Out Boy's hometown Chicago, Illinois.
Amp'd Mobile provides the largest offering of original mobile content and delivers unique behind the scenes music and entertainment footage. As a part of their sponsorship of the tour, Amp'd will broadcast live directly to Amp'd handsets the full 'Black Clouds And Underdogs' concert performance from Tweeter at the Waterfront in Camden, NJ on March 19th. This one time only live broadcast will be offered free of charge to Amp'd Mobile subscribers and will feature full sets from Fall Out Boy, The All-American Rejects and Hawthorne Heights.
Integrating the concert-goers experience, Amp'd Mobile subscribers will be able to utilize their next-generation mobile handsets to text messages, which will appear on jumbo screens on stage. During the show, fans will have the opportunity to win an upgrade to the exclusive VIP section by text messaging their name when prompted by the video screen. One lucky winner will be chosen at random and Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy will announce the winner from the stage.
Exclusive mobile content including live audio tracks, video downloads and ringtones will also be available to Amp'd Live subscribers. In addition, Amp'd Mobile kiosks will be set up in select cities allowing all music fans the opportunity to get acquainted with Amp'd content.

MTV2 will be airing a special entitled, "Fall Out Boy On Tour," on Saturday, March 18th at 8:30 PM ET/PT as MTV2 hooks up with Fall Out Boy, The All-American Rejects and Hawthorne Heights on the first date in Albany, NY and takes a look at the backstage mayhem that goes on at one of the year's most anticipated rock events.
The Breakthrough band of 2005, Fall Out Boy received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and was 2005's MTV2 VMA award-winner. Their RIAA major label debut album on Island Records, FROM UNDER THE CORK TREE, surpassed double platinum in sales. This year has been packed with key performances and major highlights for Fall Out Boy. The band performed on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on January 2nd and "Saturday Night Live" on March 4th. MTV just premiered the video for the new single "A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me" on TRL on March 13th and with a "Making Of The Video" special airing as well. Having just completed a sold-out UK tour, The All-American Rejects will be playing songs from their platinum release MOVE ALONG, including the hits "Dirty Little Secret" and "Move Along." Emo rockers Hawthorne Heights will be touring in support of their second album, IF ONLY YOU WERE LONELY, out on Victory Records and currently #3 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart. From First to Last will take to the stage as their highly anticipated sophomore release, HEROINE, comes out on March 21st. Decaydance/Fueled by Ramen Records' The Hush Sound will start off the tour playing the March 15th-April 19th shows, and their label mates October Fall will close out the tour playing the April 20th date onward.
