American Electric Power Selects BoardVantage
(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MENLO PARK, CA, January 8 / MARKET WIRE/ --
American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP), has
picked BoardVantage to manage its board communications. American Electric
Power will use BoardVantage to create a centralized repository of its board
materials, as well as streamline board process and reduce costs.
Mr. Jeffrey Cross, Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary, notes,
"As part of a corporate initiative to move away from manual board process,
our board was keen to reap the benefits of a secure board portal, with a
centralized repository, remote access, and the ability to review online. In
addition, as AEP's Directors travel frequently, BoardVantage gives them a
convenient and secure way to access Board materials wherever they may be."
"BoardVantage is increasingly the portal of choice of the energy sector,"
commented Joe Ruck, president and CEO, BoardVantage. "Boards in the energy
business frequently deliberate about a broad range of policy, environmental
and financial issues. This places a premium on immediate and full access to
board documents and supporting materials."
