A.M. Best Withdraws Issuer Credit Rating of National Interstate Corporation


A.M. Best has affirmed the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating (Long-Term ICR) of "bbb+" with a stable outlook of National Interstate Corporation (National Interstate) (Ohio), and concurrently withdrawn the Long-Term ICR. National Interstate is now an intermediate, private holding company within American Financial Group, Inc. (American Financial Group) [NYSE/NASDAQ:AFG].

National Interstate has no outstanding debt, as its obligations were satisfied upon the acquisition of the remaining shares in the organization by American Financial Group. National Interstate will no longer be preparing external financial statements and no longer requires a Credit Rating.
