Alpha & Omega Semiconductor Expands Smart Load Switch Portfolio

Alpha & Omega Semiconductor (AOS), a fabless semiconductor company, has
introduced an addition to its Smart Load Switch Family with the release
of the AOZ1321.
AOS said the new device offers a RDS(ON)-to-footprint ratio to
efficiently manage loads in the smallest PCB area. The AOZ1321 is
ideally suited for portable applications such as cell phones, smart
phones, portable navigation devices, notebook computers and other hand
held consumer electronics, the company noted.
"With the combination of 60 mOhm RDS(ON) and a tiny 1.2x1.6mm DFN
package, the AOZ1321 offers industry-leading performance and is the
ideal switch for many battery operated devices," said Alan Moore,

Marketing Manager for AOS' Power IC products. "The AOZ1321 simplifies
designs by including features such as slew rate control and load
discharge that eliminate input supply glitches and other noise. These
integrated features save up to 7 external components."
