Allworx System Software 6.9.5 Debuts
(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Allworx, a developer of Internet Protocol-based (IP) phone systems that
deliver new capabilities and efficiency to small and medium-size
businesses (SMB), announced the availability of Allworx System software
6.9.5 - the latest version of the company's communications system
software.
According to the company, the new 6.9.5 System Software offers a host
of new features, including:
- Advanced Logging - allows administrators to log events simultaneously
from different modules and separately from the main system event log.
These logs can be collected, downloaded and emailed for diagnostic
purposes when requested by Allworx Customer Support - Automatic
Multisite Route Selection - provides the ability to route an outbound
call over the most appropriate carrier and service offering based on
the number dialed and the Dialing Privileges Group associated with the
source of the call. With the addition of Allworx Automatic Multisite
Route Selection, calls can now be routed to carrier services on Remote
Allworx servers - Call Detail Records (CDR) - provides a list of all
calls placed and received with Allworx products. System release 6.9.5
includes the addition of DNIS fields to the Call Detail Records -
Dialed Number Identification Service (DNIS) - informs users what
telephone number was dialed by the caller on incoming calls before the
call is even answered. The dialed number (or associated name) will
appear on the graphical display of the user's Allworx phone. The call
can then be routed to the correct destination and/or answered in the
correct context for the caller - Remote Technical Support - an easy
method for Allworx Customer Support to access an Allworx server at a
customer site so that they can serve the customer in the quickest and
most efficient manner possible. The service eliminates the need for VPN
and firewall settings modification when accessing the server
